Matthew J. Phillips 
Matthew J. was born on November 4th, 1857. Matthew J.'s father was Abraham Phillips and his mother was Perlina Rice. He was an only child. He died at the age of 41 on April 27th, 1899 in Poplar Bluff,Missouri.
‌Matthew J. and Mary Martha were married in a religious ceremony on February 3rd, 1876. They had three sons and three daughters, named Coatney Tillman, Arthur Elmer, Melvin, Hannah "Kate", Ada Louise and Lucy.
