Samuel's father was John (Hans Rudoplh) Miller and his mother was Anna Maria (Pluss) Bliss. His paternal grandparents were Conrad Miller and Christina Gehm; his maternal grandparents were Jacob (Pluss) Bliss and Ann Maria Nieserer. He had two brothers and a sister, named Henry, Rudolph and Mary Ann. He was buried in Salem Cem,Jackson County,Ohio.General Notes
