Peter Samuel was born on November 25th, 1849 in Jackson County,Ohio. Peter Samuel's father was Henry Miller and his mother was Magdelena Helena Dipple. His paternal grandparents were John (Hans Rudoplh) Miller and Anna Maria (Pluss) Bliss; his maternal grandparents were John Dipple and Marie Magdelena Eleanor Becker. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Henry Clay, John, William, George Washington, Rudolph, Alexander, Jacob Valentine, Magdalena, Mary, Elizabeth and Amaryllis (Emma R). He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children.-
