Marmaduke was born on March 6th, 1858 in Hancock County,Indiana. Marmaduke's father was James McQueary and his mother was Lillian Scott. His paternal grandparents were John McQueary and Nancy Shepherd; his maternal grandparents were Harvey Scott and Kessiah E. Clark. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Cally, John Harvey, William Elsbury, George Washington, Haywood Martin, Kiziah, Lurany Caroline, Nancy Jane and Phoebe. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Perry, Betsy V., Polly and Sally. He died at the age of 73 on January 24th, 1932 in Modena,Mercer County,Missouri.-
