John McQueary 
John was born on June 19th, 1802 in Wilkes County,North Carolina. John's father was John McQueary and his mother was Nancy Shepherd. His paternal grandparents were John Macquarrie and Miranda Stout; his maternal grandparents were John James Shepherd Sr. and Sarah J.-------. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Morgan, Andrew, James, Martin, Sarah (Sally), Lucy and Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died about 1845 in Hancock County,Indiana.-
