Joseph Orvill was born in December 1881 in Butler,KS. Joseph Orvill's father was *William Auther McCann and his mother was *Alice Virginia Claressa Rucker. His paternal grandparents were *Joseph McCann and *Fanny Brown; his maternal grandparents were *James Shaw Rucker and *Elizabeth Kathrine Douglas. He had three brothers and four sisters, named James Auther, Roy Leslie, *Clarence Earl, Ethel May, Flossie Lucinda, Edith Mable and Verna Cora Alice. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 79 on October 4th, 1961 in CA. He was buried in Whitewater,Butler,KS.-
