Mary Ann was born in 1787 in Cleveland Co.,NC. Mary Ann's father was Benjamin Magness and her mother was Elizabeth Mauney. Her paternal grandparents were Perrygreen Magness and Sarah Hamrick. She was an only child. She died at the age of 75 in 1862 in Cleveland Co.,NC. She was buried in Rutherford Co.,NC.
‌Mary Ann and John were married in a religious ceremony about 1803 in NC. They had a son named Benjamin Franklin.
