Fernando III "The Saint" King of Castile and was born on August 19th, 1201 in Laeon Spain.1   Fernando III "The Saint" King of Castile and's father was Alfonso IX Fernandez King of Leon and Castile and his mother was Berenguela Sanchez.  His paternal grandparents were Fernando II Alfonsez King of Leon and Urraca; his maternal grandparents were Alfonso VIII "The Nobel" Sanchez King of Castile and Eleanor Plantagenet. He had a brother and a sister, named Alfonso Count and Berenquela Princess of Leon and.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 50 on May 30th, 1252 in Seville Spain.1
