John Douglas Hughes 
John Douglas was born on January 23rd, 1886 in Winston,Davis Co.,MO. John Douglas' father was Joseph Clarence Hughes and his mother was Elmina Ellen Martin. His paternal grandparents were William I. Hughes and Mahala Rodgers. He had four brothers and four sisters, named William Abraham, George Arthur, Benjamin Franklin, Joseph Clarence II, Sarah Ellen, Carrie Rebecca, Rosa Elizabeth and Malulu Florence. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 73 on June 18th, 1959.-
