Dicey was born on May 31st, 1806. Dicey's father was Joseph Gentry and her mother was Rhoda Thomas. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Gentry and Agnes Brooks; her maternal grandfather was Massey Thomas. She had four brothers and six sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Samuel, Son, James, Joseph, Sarah, Benjamin, Daughter, Eliza or Polly, Elizabeth, Nancy and Massie. She died at the age of 48 on November 10th, 1854.-
