Lucy Gay 
Lucy was born on February 18th, 1842 in Warrick County,Indiana. Lucy's father was Freedom Gay and her mother was Sina(h) Dutton. Her paternal grandparents were Freedom Gay and Elizabeth B. Norton; her maternal grandparents were poss John Dutton and Unknown. She had six brothers and three sisters, named John D(utton), Robert F(reedom), Peter G. W., Benjamin F., Milton D., Talbot, Elizabeth, Jane and Sarah M.. She was the third oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 92 on July 27th, 1934 in Johnson,Gibson County,Indiana. She was buried in Spurgeon Cemetary.General Notes

Dorothy Powers Elliott remembers seeing Gr Grandma Lucy when a small child. She was always in a rocking chair and often smoking a clay pipe. She was blind and I think it was from glocoma. Her daughter, Mariah Jane also had the same problem in her later years.
