John Gay 
John was born on June 25th, 1668 in Dedham,Norfolk County,Massachusetts. John's father was Samuel Gay and his mother was Mary Bridge. His paternal grandparents were John Gay and Joanna Borden; his maternal grandparents were Edward Bridge and Mary Brook. He had four brothers named Samuel, Edward, Hezekiah and Timothy. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 89 on June 17th, 1758.-
