John's baptism took place on January 23rd, 1724 in Truro,Cornwall,England.  John's father was Edward GRUBB and his mother was Margaret.  His paternal grandparents were Nicholas GRUBB and Margaret DAVIE. He had four brothers and a sister, named Edward, James, Samuel, Stephen and Catherine.

‌John and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on January 28th, 1753 in Truro,Cornwall,England.  They had a son and six daughters, named John, Catherine, Elizabeth, Margaret, Margt, Mary and Phillippa.
