Jane's baptism took place on October 8th, 1815 in Kenwyn,Cornwell,England.  Jane's father was Michael GROSE and her mother was Agnes PENROSE.  Her paternal grandparents were Michael GROSE and Jane ROSKROW or ROSKCROW; her maternal grandparents were William PENROSE and Mary HELENS. She had a brother and four sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named William, Mary Ann, Agness, Eliza, Maria and Maria.
