Christopher was born in 1640 in Roxby,Yorks,England.  Christopher's father was John GRAUNT and his mother was Jane BELFORD.  His paternal grandparents were William GRANT and Jane BURTON; his maternal grandparents were Edward BELFORD and BELFORD. He had four brothers and a sister, named William, George, Christopher, John and Elizabeth.
