Mariah Jane Ferguson 
Mariah Jane was born on May 12th, 1871 in Spurgeon,Pike County,Indiana. Mariah Jane's father was Henry Ferguson and her mother was Lucy Gay. Her paternal grandparents were Peter Ferguson and Margaret Ann Addison Burton Twiford; her maternal grandparents were Freedom Gay and Sina(h) Dutton. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Edmond G., Elmer Ulysses, Peter Willard, Aurora (Todd), Charlotte (Lottie) Belle and Dora A.. She was the third oldest of the seven children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Joseph Leir, Thomas Jackson and Mary Margaret Ann. She died at the age of 79 on January 18th, 1951 in Johnson,Gibson County,Indiana. She was buried in Johnson,Gibson County,Indiana--Church Cemetery.-
