Philippe was born in 1192 in France.1   Philippe's father was Robert II Count of Dreux and her mother was Yolande De Coucy.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert I Count of Dreux and Agnaes De Baudement; her maternal grandparents were Raoul I De Coucy and Agnes De Hainault. She had a brother named Robert III Count of.  She was the younger of the two children.
