Maud's father was Robert , Earl of Gloucester De Caen and her mother was Maud Fitz Hamon. Her paternal grandparents were Henry I Beauclerc and Adeliza of Louvain; her maternal grandparents were Robert Fitz Hamon and Sybil de Montgomery. She was an only child. She died on July 29th, 1189.-
