Simon II Count of was born in 1180 in Dammartin france.1   Simon II Count of's father was Alberic Aubrey II Count of Dammartin and his mother was Mathilda\Maud\Mahaut De Ponthieu.  His paternal grandparents were Alberic I Comte De Dammartin and Joan Basset; his maternal grandparents were Renauld II Count of Clermont and Clemence of Bar-Le-Duc. He had two sisters named Julia and Agnes.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died at the age of 59 on September 21st, 1239 in Abbeville France.1
