Susan was born in 1622 in St. Michael Corn,London,London,England. Susan's father was Joseph DOWNING and her mother was Jane ROSE. Her paternal grandparents were George DOWNING and Miss BELLAMY; her maternal grandparents were Mr. ROSE and Mrs. ROSE. She had four brothers and six sisters, named James, Joseph, Emmanuel, Samuel, Abigail, Susanna, Nahomie, Mary, Rebecca and Dorcas.
