Simon was born in Count of,Evreux.1   Simon's father was Fulk IV "Rechin" OF ANJOU Count and his mother was Bertrade DE MONTFORT.  His maternal grandparents were Simon II De Montfort and Agnes D'Evreux. He had a brother and a sister, named Fulk V and Ermengarde. He had two half-brothers named Foulques V "Le Jeune" Count of and V.  He died in 1181.1
