HERBERT III was born in 0955.1   HERBERT III's father was ALBERT I (ADALBERT) 'THE Count Of Vermandois and his mother was GERBURGA De LORRAINE.  His paternal grandparents were HERBERT II Count Of Vermandois and HILDEBRANT (LIEGARD Princess Of Neustria; his maternal grandparents were GISELBERT Duke Of Lorraine and GERBURGA Abbess Of Notre Dame. He had a brother named GUY.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 47 in 1002.1
