Michael Clore 
Michael was born about 1690 in Germany. Michael's father was George Clore and his mother was Barbara Weaver. His paternal grandparents were Michael Clore and Barbara----------------; his maternal grandmother was Peter Weaver. He was an only child. He died on March 22nd, 1763 in Culpepper County,Virginia.General Notes
Name sometimes spelled "Clawr". Came to America as an indentured servent of
Col. Spotswood. This was the 2nd colony brought by him to US. Were 80
persons in it. Came largely from the palatinate arriving in 1717. THey were
skilled artisans, designers and builders. After 8 yr. colony moved to
Robinson River now Madison Co. VA. Michael acquired much land--Richmond VA
Patent BK 12, 1st patent 24-6-1726--400 acres; 28-9-1728--698 acres (BK 13);
22-8-1744-300 acres--all on Robinson River. Cont. with wife.
