Chrotrude was born in 0690 in Austrasia. Chrotrude's father was Saint Leutwinus and her mother was Daughter Of II Chrodobertus. Her maternal grandparents were II Chrodobertus and Doda. She was an only child. She died at the age of 34 in 0724.1 General Notes

Chrotrud was the wife of Charles Martel and mother of the king Pepin the Short. According to Frankish tradition, she was the daughter of Saint Leutwinus, son of Gunza and one Count Warinus, himself the son of Sigrada and Bodilan. Her mot her, whose name was not known, was said to be the daughter of Doda and Rodobert us, son of Lantbertus I.[New Cunard.ged]
They had a son named Pepin.
