John was born in 1699 in Virginia.1   John's father was John Chaffin.  His paternal grandfather was John Chaffin.  He was an only child.  He died before January 25th, 1773 in Cumberland,VA (formerly Groochland Co).1 


John's family

‌John were married in a religious ceremony in 1722.  He had three biological sons and two biological daughters, named Joshua, Christopher, Joseph, Rachel and Ruth.
