Teuntje was born on April 27th, 1839 in Jutphaas,Netherland. Teuntje's father was Huibert COPIER and her mother was Bertha OOSTERUM. Her paternal grandparents were Teunis COPIER and Johanna PESFELSEN. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Martinus, Huibertus, Barthus, Johanna, Adriana, Jannetje, Jannigje and Huiberta.
