Benjamin was born on March 20th, 1830 in Durham,Strafford,New Hamshire,England. Benjamin's father was David Sr CLUFF CLOUGH and his mother was Elizabeth Or Betsey HALL. His paternal grandparents were William CLOUGH and Susannah RUNNELLS OR RUNELS; his maternal grandparents were Moses HALL and Lucy FOWLER. He had ten brothers and a sister, named David, Moses, William Wallace, Joseph, Harvey Harris, Samuel Sampson, Hyrum, Henry, Alfred Arron, Orson and Lavina. He was the fourth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 79 on November 19th, 1909 in Tobasco,,Mexico,B. Cluff Jr Home.
