Solomon was born in 1706 in Groton,New London,Connecticut,New England. Solomon's father was William CHAPMAN and his mother was Lydia LINCOLN. His paternal grandparents were William CHAPMAN and Elizabeth PALMER; his maternal grandparents were Samuel LINCOLN and Sarah ROYCE. He had seven sisters named Ruth, Lydia, Sarah, Phebe, Clary, Prudence and Olive. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 89 in 1795.General Notes
