John Bowman 
John was born in 1747 in Kent County,Delaware. John's father was Thomas Bowman and his mother was Sarah Clark. His paternal grandparents were John Bowman and Patience McKenny; his maternal grandparents were John Clark and Catherine-------- UNKNOWN. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, William, Nathan, Ruth, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.-
