She had three brothers and four sisters, named Samuel Charles (Jr.), Francis Beckwith, Notley Williams, Ruth V., Minerva, Priscilla Beckwith and Elizabeth Beckwith. She was the second oldest of the eight children. She had a half-sister named Eliza.-
