Peter was born on March 28th, 1718 in Christ Church Parish, Middlesex County, Virginia. Peter's father was Thomas Montague and his mother was Grace Nicolson. His paternal grandparents were Peter Montague and Elizabeth Morris; his maternal grandparents were William Nicolson and Grace Lewis. He had three brothers named Thomas, John and Clement. He was the oldest of the four children. He had a half-brother named Col. Philip. He died at the age of 28 on July 4th, 1746 in Orange County, Virginia.General Notes
