Berta was born about 1107 in Brimsfield, Gloucestershire, England. Berta's father was Richard Fitz Pons and her mother was Maud Fitzwalter. Her paternal grandparents were William Poncius and Daughter Of Hugh II De Ponthieu; her maternal grandparents were Walter "The Sheriff" Fitzroger and Berta De Ballon. She had a brother named Walter I. She was the older of the two children. She died after 1167.-
