Gisele was born about 0983 in Bayeux,Calvados,Normandie,France.  Gisele's father was Thurstan deMontfort De Bastembourg and her mother was Juliane Murdac. She had a brother and two sisters, named Hugh I " Barbatus", Adeline and Gisela Bertrand.  She was the youngest of the four children.
