John I de was born about 1292 in Hooton, Cheshire. John I de's father was William I de Stanley and his mother was Joan deBaumville. His paternal grandfather was Adam deStanlegh; his maternal grandparents were Philip Bamville and Pulford. He was an only child. He died about 1347.-
