Bernard II Duke of was born in 1002 in Luneburg,Saxony. Bernard II Duke of's father was Bernard I Duke of Saxony and his mother was Hildegarde Von Stade. His paternal grandparents were Duke Hermann Billung and Hildegarde De Westerburg; his maternal grandparents were Graff Heinrich I Von Stade and Judith. He was an only child. He died at the age of 57 on June 29th, 1059.
