Joan "of Acre" was born in 1272 in Acre, Hazafon, Palestine.  Joan "of Acre"'s father was King Edward I "Longshanks" King of England and her mother was Eleanor (Alianore Leanor) of Castile.  Her paternal grandparents were King King Of England Henry III Plantagenet and Eleanor of Provence; her maternal grandparents were Ferdinand III "The Saint" King of Leon & Castile and Joan de Dammartin. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Edward II, Henry III Earl of Lancaster &, Elizabeth and Elizabeth.  She died at the age of 35 on April 23rd, 1307 in Clare, Suffolk, England.  She was buried on April 26th, 1307 in Austins Friars, Clare, Suffolk, England.
