Caradog Ap was born about 1076 in Wales.  Caradog Ap's father was Iestyn Ap Gwrgan and his mother was Constance 'Wen' Verch Cadwgon. He had a sister named Catrin (Gwladys) Verch.  He was the younger of the two children.
