William FitzOsbern , 1st Earl of Hereford 
William was born in 1030 in Poitiers, Poitou, France. William's father was Osbern de Crepon , Steward of Normandy and his mother was Emma de Ivry. He was an only child. He died in Flanders. He was buried in Companion of William I at Battle of Hastings.1 General Notes
