Ealdgyth or Algitha of Northumbria's father was Earl Uhtred of Northumbria and her mother was Elfgifu of England. Her paternal grandparents were Earl Waltheof of Bernicia and Elfeda; her maternal grandparents were King Aethelred II of England (The redeless) and Ealflead of Durham. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Aldred of Bernicia and Ealdgyth of Mercia.General Notes
