John was born about 1256 in Beaudesert, Warwickshire, England. John's father was Peter De Montford Knt. and his mother was Matilda De La Warr. His paternal grandparents were Peter De Montfort and Alice De Aldithley; his maternal grandparents were John Mathew De La Warr and Olympia De Folkington. He had two brothers named Simon and William De. He was the oldest of the three children. He died before May 11th, 1296.-
