Maud de was born about 1231 in Of, Gower, Glamorganshire, Wales.  Maud de's father was Lord William de Braiose and her mother was Lady Eva Marshal.  Her paternal grandparents were Reginald de Braiose and Gracia Briwere; her maternal grandparents were Earl William Marshal and Countess Isabel fitz Gilbert de Clare. She had a sister named Isabel.  She died in Kingsland, Herefordshire, England.

‌Maud de and Roger were married in a religious ceremony about 1247.  They had a son and a daughter, named Edmund of Wigmore and Isabella.
