Aymar was born about 1023 in Angouleme FRA.  Aymar's father was * Geoffrey Taillefer Count and his mother was * Petronille de Archaic.  His maternal grandparents were * Mainard 'Le Riche' de Archaic and * Hildegarde. He had four brothers and a sister, named * Foulques, Geoffrey, Arnold, Guillaume and Humberge.  He was the second youngest of the six children.
