* Dermot was born in 1110.  * Dermot's father was * Donnchad MacMurchad.  His paternal grandfather was * Murchad.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 61 in 1171.

‌* Dermot and * More were married in a religious ceremony about 1140.  They had a daughter named * Aoife (Eva) MacDermot.
