John Percy was born in November 1898.  John Percy's father was Laurence Patrick Gallagher (Gallohue) and his mother was Margaret Halpin.  His paternal grandparents were * John Gallagher (Gallohue) and * Margaret Callaghan. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Vincent, Augustine, Laurence, David Herbert, Patrick Francis, William, Mary Maude, Ellen, Ruby and Emily.  He died at the age of 18 on October 8th, 1917 in KIA WWI Broodsiende Ridge FRA.
