Living's father was William Bidner and her mother was Sarah Jane Nixon. Her paternal grandparents were John Frederick (Frederick) Bidner and Mary Rose; her maternal grandparents were John Nixon and Margaret Lee. She had two brothers and a sister, named John William, Donald Frederick and Laura Marion.-
