Matthew Young 
Matthew was born about 1750 in ,Augusta,VA.1 Matthew's father was Matthew Young and his mother was Agnes Lusk. His paternal grandparents were James Young and Sarah Todd; his maternal grandparents were Nathan Lusk and Elizabeth Nevitt. He had five brothers and a sister, named Andrew, Nathan, John, Alexander, James and Elizabeth. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died in ,Warren,KY.General Notes
Matthew and Jannet McCurdy Young are found in the records of early South Carolina, as well as her father, John McCurdy. However, Matthew's brother Patrick Young died in Augusta County, VA, about 1760, as I recall. His widow, Isabelle, remarried and moved west.
Matthew's parents, Matthew and Agnes Lusk Young, appear to have left Augusta Co, VA, in the early 1750s and settled in Long Canes, SC, which became Granville and/or Old 96 Districts. James Lusk is also there.
