Linda Pearl's father was John Monroe Ward and her mother was Polly Caroline Yount.  Her paternal grandparents were George W. Ward and Sarah Elizabeth Richardson; her maternal grandparents were William Daniel Yount and Josephine Samarimas Stone.  She was an only child.
