Frank was born on April 23rd, 1892 in Cool,Warren,IA. Frank's father was Charles Wesley Tharp and his mother was Carrie Adeline Young. His maternal grandparents were David Young and Margaret Ann Williams. He had a brother and two sisters, named Levi David, Bonnie M and Maude Helen. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 85 in May 1977 in Grant,Perkins,NE.-
