Mary Ann was born on May 29th, 1829. Mary Ann's father was John Jr. Shyrock and her mother was Sara Ann Shyrock. Her paternal grandparents were John Shyrock and Ann Johnson; her maternal grandparents were Adam Shyrock and Roseannah Woods. She had two brothers and a sister, named William, John Joesph and Elizabeth. She was the second oldest of the four children.-
