John Albert was born on April 14th, 1875 in Shelbyville,Shelby,IN. John Albert's father was Frederick (Fred) STEPHAN and his mother was Mary Magdalena ADAM. His paternal grandparents were John George Stephan and Elizabeth Winter; his maternal grandparents were Karl L. ADAM and Catherine Eva HATMAKER. He had three brothers and a sister, named Charles L., Will F., Fred D. and Louisa. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 68 on October 11th, 1943 in Madison,IN. He was buried in Forest Hill Cemetery.-
